There’s a growing need for professionals in health care revenue cycle management. At the College of Health Care Professions, our Associate of Applied Science in Coding and Revenue Cycle Management is designed to help you develop the skills you need to follow processes that help health care organizations track and manage financial information.

From claims processing, payment, and revenue generation to coding and billing, CHCP’s program includes instruction in the administrative and clinical skills you need to be successful in this operational area. In addition to a focus on the practical application of medical coding and billing through current CPT and ICD codes, the program is designed to help you gain insights and professional skills in areas like psychology, communication, and more. Our associate degree is designed to help you gain the knowledge—and credential—you need to pursue an entry-level role in medical coding and billing in the healthcare industry.

As with all medically related career fields, demand for these trained and certified healthcare professionals is high. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job openings for medical records and health information specialists are projected to grow 9% by 2030, higher than the average pace across all career fields.
