Dental assistants are on the front line of oral health, helping dentists with a number of different treatments and procedures. Every day, these certified dental assistants are tasked with taking dental radiographs, implementing tooth impressions for study casts, preparing dental equipment, providing oral care instructions to patients, and much more.

With a dental assistant certificate from the College of Health Care Professions, you can pursue a key role in an in-demand dental health profession such as…

  • Dental Assistant
  • Chair-Side Assistant
  • Dental Billing Clerk

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics*, job openings for dental assistants are projected to grow 7% through 2032 – a faster than average pace. Overall, employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow 12.6% from 2021 to 2031*, much faster than the average for all occupations.
