Are you thinking about pursuing a career as a certified rehabilitation therapy technician? At the College of Health Care Professions, our Rehabilitation Therapy Technician certificate program is the first step toward this certification and your ability to pursue a role serving the physical and mental health and well-being of others.
Working under the supervision of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physicians, or other licensed rehabilitation professionals ,rehab therapy technicians treat and support the short and long-term outcomes of patients recovering from injury or adapting to trauma or disability. Skills necessary for this job include advanced client relations skills and a high level of organization in order to successfully navigate administrative duties, such as client paperwork processing and maintaining a client schedule.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics*, job openings for rehab therapy technicians are projected to grow 19% through 2032 – a much faster than average pace. Overall, employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow 12.6% from 2021 to 2031*, much faster than the average for all occupations.
